In fact, the language to describe these forces varies across contexts and even within the same context. There are four categories used to describe the opposition faced by LGBTQI+ activists around the world.

Interwoven Communities: The Fabric of LGBTQI+ Movements

A focus on Black and POC-led groups helps address the inequities found in philanthropy at large. Across movements and borders, intersex activism remains severely underfunded, and the Astraea Foundation’s commitment to closing that gap resulted in the Intersex Human Rights Fund (IHRF) having its biggest year yet.

This repository will be a key reference for researchers, advocates, and funders prioritizing LBQ+ women’s issues.
